Got M.I.L.K.

Hey there. I thought I would start a blog for us awesome Moms, in order for us to keep up without really long email threads. You can visit whenever you want or you can choose to subscribe/follow, etc. If anyone wants to post something for everyone, let me know and I can get it done. Other than that you can comment away.

First update is the Cary Road Race. There has been a lot of interest.

Running the 10K--Jen Hogan (God Bless Her)

Running the 5K--Elena Johnson, Heather Scott, Kirstin Neira, Bonnie Overton, Patricia Gooden, Kati Knowland, Becca Jones (if she is in town), Kirsten Lora

Running the 1 mile Fun Run--Vivian Overton and Addy Neira.

Cheerleader--Jennifer Fetterolf

On the Bench--Heidi Donahue, Lisa Hansoty, Teresa Gresham and Cristina Virsida

If I have missed anyone, let me know.

Second update--Mom's Night Out. Let me know your ideas for date, venues, etc.

Third question: What are you doing for training? I am running (at my turtle speed)for about 35 mins on Mon, Wed and Fri mornings at the Cary Y.

For those into the Ryan Gossling mems.  I thought this one was good for us Moms.

  1. Thanks for starting this blog, Patricia! I'm excited/scared about the 5K. I've just started getting ready by (re)starting the C25K program. I'm planning on doing that three times per week downstairs on my treadmill.

I think Oliver and Josh are going to do the 1 mile Fun Run as well.

And I'm interested in hearing what everyone else thinks might be a good Mom's Night Out idea ... I'm kind of drawing a blank, but I'll think about it. It's not really "out", but it might be interesting to do a craft night, if people are crafty and interested in stuff like that. I've always got some projects that I want to work on but just haven't gotten around to it ... a blanket I'm making for a friend who's having a baby, screen printing that I want to try, since I got a starter kit for Christmas ... we could get together and "craft" and eat and drink and chat. I think Ryan Gosling would approve :) Just a thought!

  2. Even if you crawl across the finish line---you did it! Bill is going to do the 5K, too.

    Craft night...that could be fun!

  3. I'm thinking/planning to join in the road race. Perfect timing for ending my C25k a week or two before. I'd just be forced to bring the kids in the chariot. I just haven't been training with them. We'll see how will that goes this week.
